Zeta Media

I have been taking photos of street art over the last five years. I often upload them to my flickr account which can be found over here. As we’re approaching the end of 2011, I thought that I would have a look back at the photos I’ve taken over the past year and post some of my favourite street art pieces to the blog.

10. D*Face

A huge piece by artist D*Face, not far from his East London gallery Stolen Space. I’ve not seen many painted pieces on the street by D*Face, normally I see a few stickers whilst out and about, so it was great to see this huge variation of his logo. This is a great spot that is ever changing as different artists showcase their painting skills.

9. Blam, ROA, Dale Grimshaw, Malarky, Mr Penfold and others!

As you will see, most of these photos feature locations in East London (I’ve not had chance to do as much travelling as I would’ve liked this year!). This is an incredible spot that often features work by many artists. The gigantic bird by Belgian artist, ROA, appeared a couple of years ago and artists are continuously putting up new work.

8. Lister and Hacula

A collaboration between Hacula and Anthony Lister watches over these musicians.

7) Banksy

An unusual piece from Banksy on his Banksy vs King Robbo Regent’s canal wall that has changed numerous times over the last couple of years.

6. Ben Eine

Ben was commissioned to paint the words PRO and ANTI along this London street.

5. C215

A great, colourful, portrait from French stencil artist C215 brightens up this dark alley.

4. Phlegm

This is an impressive piece by Phlegm just off Rivington street. Capturing someone walking in front of it give you an idea of the size!

3. Mighty Mo and Goldpeg

An absolutely huge roller production by Burning Candy members Mighty Mo and Goldpeg.

2. Malarky

Malarky and friends have been brightening up the East London streets recently. This colourful wall is brilliant.

1. Banksy

Banksy’s response to the NOTW phone hacking scandal. The whereabouts of this piece remained a mystery for quite a while.

I hope you enjoyed that little round up of street art. I have had to miss so many pieces out, but I’m sure there will be much more street art making it’s way onto the blog very soon!
